1. वाला तमे निरत करो मारा नाहोजी , अमने जोयानी छे खांत |
साथ जोई आनंदियो रे , कांई वेष देखी एक भांत ||
इन्द्रावती अपने प्रियतम से कहती है , हे मेरे वालाजी ! अब आप नृत्य करें, उसे देखने की हमारी प्रबल इच्छा है | आप की अनुपम वेश - भूषा को देखकर सुन्दरसाथ अति आनन्दित हो रहे हैं |
Indravati says to her beloved , O my dear ! Now you dance , we have a strong urge to see it . By looking at your excellent costumes all friends ( beautiful company - sundersath ) are being delighted .
2. तमे निरत करो रे भामनी , निरत रूडी थाय नार |
तमे वचन गाओ प्रेमनां , पासे स्वर पुंरु रसाल ||
प्रियतम श्री कृष्ण ने इसका प्रत्युत्तर हुए कहा , हे सखियो ! तुम सर्वप्रथम नृत्य करो क्योंकि स्त्रियाँ अच्छे ढँग से नृत्य करती हैं | प्रेम के गीत भी गाते रहना | मैं भी उसमें स्वर मिलाकर उसे रसयुक्त बना दूँगा |
To this beloved Shri Krishna replied , O friends ! First you dance because women dance in a good way . Also keep singing songs of love . I will also make it melodious by mixing my voice .
3. सुणो सुन्दर वल्लभजी मारा , निरत केणी पेरे थाय |
अमने देखाडो आयत करी , कांई उलट अंग न माय ||
इन्द्रावती कहती है , हे प्रिय स्वामी ! सुनिए , नृत्य किस प्रकार किया जाता है वह आप अपनी इच्छानुसार करके दिखाइए | इसे देखने की हमारी उत्कण्ठा इतनी बढ़ गई है कि हम उसे अंगों में समा नहीं पाती हैं |
Indravati says , O dear lord ! Listen , how is dance done , you do it by doing as you wish and show us . To see it our eagerness has increased so much that we are not able to hold it in our body parts .
4. जेणी सनंधे पांउ भरो , अने अंग वालो नरम |
भमरी फरो जेणी भांतसुं , अमे नाचुं फरूं तेम ||
हे प्रियतम ! जिस प्रकार आप पाँव उठाँएगे अपने कोमल अंगों को मोड़ लेंगे और घूमेंगे उसे देखकर हम भी आपका अनुकरण करेंगी |
O beloved ! The way you will raise your feet , fold your soft body parts and go round seeing this we will also follow you .
5. हस्त करी देखाडिए , अने ठमके दीजे पाय |
वचन गाइए प्रेमनां , कांई तेना अरथ ज थाय ||
इसलिए आप अपने हाथों से कर मुद्राएँ ( हावभाव ) दिखलाइए | पाँव से थाप देते जाइए | प्रेम के मधुर गीत गाइए ताकि हमें प्रत्यक्ष रूप से उन मुद्राओं एवं हाव - भाव के अर्थ समझ में आ जाँए |
Therefore show gestures made with your hands . Keep giving beat with feet . Sing melodious songs of love so that we can see in real and are able to understand the meaning of those gestures .
6. कंठ करीने राग अलापिए , कांई स्वर पूरे सकल साथ |
वेण वेणा रबाबसुं , कांई ताल बाजे पखाज ||
मधुर स्वर से किसी भी राग को आलापिए | समस्थ सखियाँ भी आपके स्वर में स्वर मिलाएँगी | वंशी , वीणा तथा सांरगी के स्वरों के साथ पखावज भी ताल देगी |
Sing any raga melodiously . All friends will mix their voice with you. Along with Bansuri (flute) , Veena (like harpi) , Sarangi (stringed instrument played with a bow) they will also give beat with Pakhavaj (tabor - dholk) .
7. करतालमां बाजे झरमरी , श्रीमंडल हाथ |
चंग तंबूरे रंग मले , वालो नाचे सकल साथ ||
जब करताल में लगी हुई झरमरी के साथ वाणी की मधुर ध्वनि सम्मिलित होती है और हाथ में श्रीमण्डल , वाध वीणा हो और ताल देने के लिए चंग और तंबूर मिलकर स्वर निकालते हो तो प्रियतम और समस्त सखियाँ हिल मिलकर नाचने लगेंगे |
When the melodious sound of Veena (harp) mixes along with bells attached to Kartaal (cymbal) and in hand is Shrimandal , Vadh Veena and for beat Chang and Tambur together give rhythm then beloved and all friends will dance together .
8. भूषण बाजे भली भांतसुं , धरती करे धमकार |
सबद उठे सोहामणा , उछरंग वाध्यो अपार ||
नृत्य के आभूषण भी स्वर में स्वर मिलाकर झनझना उठे | पाँव की इस थिरकन से धरती धम - धमा उठी | अत्यन्त सुन्दर और मधुर शब्द गूँजने लगे और सब के हृदय में उत्साह बढ़ने लगा |
The ornaments of dance also started tinkling together by mixing with sound . The earth started shaking due to this tapping of feet . There is echo of extremely beautiful and melodious words and excitement is increasing in everyone's heart .
9. निरत करी नरम अंगसुं , कांई फेरी फर्या एक पाय |
छेक वाले छेलाइसुं , तता थई थई थाय ||
प्रियतम और सखियों ने अपने कोमलांगों द्वारा नृत्य किया , एक पाँव पर गोल -गोल घूमे | सखियाँ प्रियतम के साथ चतुरतापूर्वक नाचने लगी जिससे "ता - ता थै - थै " की ध्वनि मुखरित हुई |
Beloved and friends did dance with their soft body parts , and spun round and round on one feet . Friends started dancing with beloved cleverly due to which sound of " ta - ta tha - tha " was vocalized .
10. एक पोहोर आनंद भरी , कांई रंग भर रमिया एह |
साथ सकलमां वालेजीए , रमतां कीधां सनेह ||
इस प्रकार रात्रि के एक प्रहर तक सभी ने प्रेमानन्द में नृत्य की रामत की | रामत करते हुए प्रियतम ने ब्रह्मात्माओं को स्नेह मुग्ध कर दिया |
This way till the first hour of night everyone did dance of game of love in happiness of love . While playing the game of love beloved enchanted the divine souls with love .
11. आनंद घणो इन्द्रावती , वालाजीने लागे पाय |
अवसर छे कांई अति घणो , वाला रासनी रामत मांय ||
इस रामत में इन्द्रावती सखी को अत्यधिक आनंद प्राप्त हुआ | वह प्रियतम के चरण कमलों को पकड़कर कहती है , हे प्रियतम ! इस रास की रामत में अखण्ड आनन्द प्राप्त करने का सुन्दर अवसर मिला है |
Friend Indravati received maximum pleasure in this game of love . She holds the feet of beloved and says , O beloved ! In this game of love of divine dance got the beautiful opportunity to receive the seamless joy ( happiness ) .
12. ते सरवे चित धरी , अमसुं रमो अति रंग |
कहे इन्द्रावती साथने , रमवानी घणी उमंग |
इन्द्रावती कहती है , हे प्रियतम धनी ! इन सभी आनन्दमयी बातों को मन में धारण कर आप हमारे साथ प्रेमरंग में मग्न होकर खेलिए क्योंकि समस्त सुन्दरसाथ को खेलने की उत्कट इच्छा है |
Indravati says , O beloved lord ! By absorbing ( holding ) all these joyful talks in mind you fully absorbed in colour of love play with us because all friends have fervent desire to play .
