1. आवो रे सखियो आपण हमची खुंदिए , वालाजीने भेला लीजे रे | 

    रामत करतां गीत ज गाइए , हांस विनोद रंगडा कीजे  रे || 

    इन्द्रावती कहती है , हे सखियो ! मेरे निकट आ जाओ | हम सभी प्रियतम के साथ उछलें , कूदें और हमची रामत करे | प्रियतम श्यामसुन्दर श्री कृष्ण जी के साथ रामत (खेल ) में हास्य - विनोद करते हुए उनके गुण - गान के गीत गाएँ | 

      Indravati says , O friends ! Come near me . Let us all jump and jump with our beloved , have fun and play game of love together . Sing songs in praise of the beloved Shyam Sunder Shri Krishna while having fun and humour in game of love . 

2. मारा वालैया ए रामत घणुं रूडी , हमचडी रलियाली | 

     कालेरामां कंठ चढावी , गीत गाइए पडताली || 

      हे मेरे प्रियतम ! यह हमचडी रामत तो अत्यन्त मनोरञ्जक एंव रमणीय है | कालेरा राग आलापते हुए और हाथ - पैर से ताल देते हुए गीत गाएँ | 

      O my beloved ! This game of love is very charming and delightful . Sing the song while chanting kalayra raag and beating with hands and feet . 

3. हमचडीनो अवसर आव्यो , आगे कह्युं  नही अमे  तमने रे | 

    एवो समयो अमने क्यांहे न लाधो , हामडी रहीती अमने रे || 

     हमें आज हमचडी (रामत) खेलने का अवसर मिला है | इससे पूर्व (व्रज में) इसके लिए आपसे आग्रह नहीं किया था | इससे पहले  हमें ऐसा अवसर कभी प्राप्त नहीं हुआ था | इसलिए हमारी सारी इच्छाएँ हमारे मन में ही रह गई थी|  

      Today we got an opportunity to play the game of love . We had not requested you for this before ( in Vraj ) . We had never had such an opportunity before . Therefore all our desires remained in our minds only . 

4. जे रस छे वाला हमचडीमां , ते तो क्यांहे न दीठो रे | 

     जेम जेम सखियो आवे अधकेरी , तेम तेम दिए रस मीठो रे || 

     हे प्रियतम ! इस हमचडी रामत में जो रस है वह इससे पूर्व कहीं भी नहीं देखा था | जैसे - जैसे सखियाँ प्रेमानन्द में अधिकाधिक मग्न होती जाएँगी वैसे - वैसे आप मधुर प्रेम रस प्रदान करते जाएँ | 

     O beloved ! The joy ( essence of love ) which is in this game of love was not seen anywhere before . As friends become more and more engrossed in the happiness of love , you keep providing sweet essence of love . 

5. वचन सरवे गाइए प्रेमनां , तेनां अरथ अंगमां समाय | 

    ते तां अरथ प्रगट पाधरा , हस्तक वाला संग थाय || 

     हे सखियो ! हम सभी मिलकर प्रेम के गीत गाएँ | जिसका अर्थ भी हम अपने अन्त:करण में उतारें | इसका अर्थ तो प्रत्यक्ष और सरल है | अपने प्रियतम के हाथ थामें एवं उनके साथ ही चलते जाएँ | 

      O friends ! Let us sing songs of love together . The meaning of which we should also understand in our conscience . Its meaning is direct and simple . Hold the hand of your beloved and walk with him. 

6. अमृत पीजे ने चुमन दीजे , कंठडे वालाने वलाइए | 

     हमचडीमां त्रण रस लीजे , रेहेस रामतडी गाइए || 

    अमृत रस का पान करें | चुम्बन दें और आलिगंन करें | हमचडी की रामत  में तीन प्रकार के रसों का स्वाद लें | चरित्र को मूर्त करना , रामत करना और गीत गाना | ( अपने धनी के वचनों का पालन करना , अपनी श्रद्धा भावना उन वचनों में केन्द्रित करना और सदैव उन्हीं के आश्रय में रहना ये तीन प्रकार के रस हमचडी रामत द्वारा प्राप्त हो सकते है | )

      Drink nectar . Give kisses and hugs . Taste the three types of pleasures ( happiness ) in this game of love . Embodying the character , playing the game of love ( rejoicing ) and singing the song . ( Following the words of our lord , focusing one's faith in those words and always remaining in his shelter , these three types of pleasures can be attained through this game of love .) 

7. ए रामतमां विलास जे कीधां , ते कहेवाय नहीं मुख वाणी | 

     सखे सुखडां लई  करीने , रह्यां रुदयामां जाणी || 

     इस रात में विनोद हास्य और प्रेम का जो आनन्द प्राप्त किया गया है उसका वर्णन मुख द्वारा नहीं हो सकता | अब तो इस प्रकार के अखण्ड सुख हृदयस्थ ही कर लिए हैं | 

      The joy of humour and love that was experienced on this night cannot be described in words . Now this type of seamless (unbroken) happiness has been established in the heart itself . 

8. जेटलां वचन गायां अमे रमतां , ते सरवेनां  सुख लीधां | 

    कहे इन्द्रावती केम कहुं वचने , अनेक सुख वाले दीधां || 

     इन्द्रावती कहती है , प्रियतम के साथ रासलीला करते समय जितने गीत गाए गए उन सब का सुख प्राप्त कर लिया | हमें प्रियतम ने अनेक प्रकार के सुख दिए हैं जिनका वर्णन इन वचनों से कैसे करूं ?

    Indravati says that , they got happiness from all the songs sung while playing the game of love (raasleela) with the beloved . Our beloved has given us many types of happiness , how can I describe them in these words ?

1. वालैया रमाडे रे , अमने नव नवे रंग | 

    जेम जेम रमिए रे , तेम तेम वाधे रे उमंग || 

     प्रियतम हमें नए नए रङ्गो  में रङ्गकर  रामत खेला रहे हैं | रामत खेलने में जिस प्रकार गति की तीव्रता बढ़ती जाती है उसी प्रकार प्रेम की तरङ्गें भी बढ़ती जाती हैं | 

      Beloved is making us play the game of love by colouring us in new colours of love . Just as the intensity of movement increases in the same way waves of love also increase . 

2.सकल मलियो रे साथ , सोभे वालैया संघात | 

   जाणिए उदयो प्रभात , तिमिर भाजियो रात , सोहे व्रन्दावन || 

    सखियों का समूह प्रियतम के साथ ऐसा आभापूर्ण दिखाई देता है मानो रात्रि का अन्धकार हट गया हो और सखियों और श्री कृष्ण की जाज्वल्यमान प्रभा के कारण प्रातःकाल हो चुका हो | इस प्रकार वृन्दावन अत्यन्त रमणीय बन गया है | 

       The aura of the group of friends along with the beloved appears as if the darkness of night has gone away and it is morning because of the bright glow of the friends and Shri Krishna . In this way Vrindavan has become very beautiful . 

3. भूषण झलहलकार , नंग तो तेज अपार | 

     जोत तो अति आकार , वस्तर सोहे सिणगार , मोहे वालो मन || 

     सखियों के आभूषण तेजोमय प्रकाश से चमक रहे हैं | इन आभूषणों में जड़ित रत्नों का तेज भी अपरिमित है | ब्रह्मात्माओं तथा श्री कृष्ण का दिव्य स्वरुप अत्यंत तेजोमय है | इसी प्रकार वस्त्र और शृङ्गार भी अपनी तेजोमयी दीप्ती के कारण शोभा दे  रहे हैं और वे प्रियतम के मनको मोहित करते हैं | 

      The jewelery of friends is shining brightly with light . The brilliance of gems studded in these ornaments is also limitless . The divine form of the brahma (supreme) souls and Shri Krishna is extremely bright . Similarly clothes and makeup are also beautiful due to their bright glow and they fascinate the heart of the beloved . 

4. सिणगार सरवे सोहे , वालोजी खंत करी जुए | 

    जाणिए मूलगां रे होय , तारतम विना नव कोय , जाणे एह धन || 

     सखियों का शृङ्गार अति शोभा युक्त है | प्रियतम भी उन्हें उत्सुकता वश देख रहे हैं | मानों मूल (परमधाम ) से ही यह प्रेम सम्बन्ध है किन्तु तारतम ज्ञान के बिना कोई भी इस अखण्ड निधि (ब्रह्मात्माओं तथा श्री कृष्ण का प्रेम सम्बन्ध ) को नहीं जान सकता | 

        The makeup of the friends is very beautiful . Beloved is also watching them with curiosity . As if this love relationship is with the original eternal home itself , but without the highest knowledge of Tartam no one can know this seamless treasure . (love relationship between supreme souls and Shri Krishna ) .

5. वालोजी अति उलास , मन मांहें रलियात | 

    पूरवा सुन्दरीनी आस , मरकलडे करे हांस , उलट उतपन || 

    प्रियतम श्यामसुन्दर अत्यन्त उल्लसित हो रहे हैं | सखियों की इच्छा पूर्ण करने के लिए वे मन्द - मन्द हास्य बिखेर रहे हैं | इस हास्य के कारण उत्साह में वृद्धि होती है और प्रेम भी तीव्र गति से बढ़ता है | 

      Beloved Shyam Sunder is very happy . He is spreading slow humour , to fulfill the wishes of his friends . Due to this humour , enthusiasm increases and love also increases at a rapid speed .

6. सुख तो वालाजीने संग , अरधांग लिए रे अंग | 

     जुवती करती जंग , रमे नव नवे रंग , घणुं जसंन || 

     अखण्ड सुख की प्राप्ति तो प्रियतम के सान्निध्य में ही है | श्री श्यामाजी अर्धांगिनी के रूप में प्रियतम श्यामसुन्दर का सुख प्राप्त कर रही हैं | सखियाँ भाँति - भाँति के राग रङ्ग से प्रेम की लड़ाई लड़ रही हैं | ऐसा प्रतीत होता है मानों कोई बड़ा उत्सव मनाया जा रहा हो | 

      Eternal happiness can be achieved only in the company of the beloved . Shri Shayamaji is enjoying happiness of her beloved Shyam Sunder as her better half . Friends are fighting the battle of love with different colours of song and mirth (pleasure) . It seems as if some big celebration is being celebrated . 

7. सुन्दरी वल्ल्भ बंने , करे इछा मन गमे | 

     रीस तो कोय ना खमे , नीच तो भाखे ना नमे , बोले बल तन || 

     सखियाँ और वल्ल्भ (श्री कृष्ण ) दोनों अपनी - अपनी इच्छा अनुसार लीला करते हैं | कोई क्रोध सहन नहीं करता | कटु वचन से कोई किसी से नहीं झुकता अर्थात कोई किसी से कम दिखाई नहीं देता | सभी मधुर गीतों द्वारा रास लीला का आनन्द ले रहे हैं | 

      Both , the friends and beloved Shri Krishna perform their dance of love as per their wish . No one tolerates anger . No one bows down to anyone with harsh words , that is , no one appears inferior to anyone else . Everyone is enjoying the dance of divine love with melodious songs . 

8. चालती चतुरा रे चाल , मुख तो अति मछराल | 

      सोहंती कट लंकाल , चढती जाणे घंटाल , प्रेम काम सिंध  || 

      सखियाँ चातुर्य पूर्ण चाल चल रही हैं | उनके मुख कमल प्रेम की मदपूर्ण लालिमा के कारण खिल उठे हैं | चढ़ती हुई घण्टी सदृश उनकी पतली कमर सुन्दर लग रही है , वे प्रेमरूपी कामना की सागर समान हैं | 

      Friends are making clever moves . Their lotus faces have bloomed with the intoxicating redness of love . Their slim waist looks beautiful like a rising bell , they are like an ocean of love's  desires . 

9. छेलाइए अति छेल , वल्ल्भ संघाते गेहेल | 

   प्रेम तो पूरा भरेल , स्याम संगे रंग रेल , वाले बांहोंडी बंध || 

    सखियाँ रामत करने में अति कुशल हैं | प्रियतम के साथ खेलते समय मानों वे उन्मादित हो जाती हैं | उनके हृदय में उत्कट प्रेम भरा हुआ है | इसलिए श्यामसुन्दर श्री कृष्ण जी को वे उन्मत्त होकर गले लगा लेती हैं | 

     Friends are very skilled in playing the game of love . As if they are in great excitement while playing along with the beloved . Their heart is full of passionate love . That's why they frantically embrace Shyam sunder Shri Krishna . 

10. वाणी तो बोले विसाल , रमती रमती आल | 

      कंठ तो झांक झमाल।  अंग तो अति रसाल , सोहंती रे सनंध || 

       सखियाँ प्रेमपूर्ण , मधुर तथा सारगर्भित वाणी का आदान - प्रदान कर रही हैं | खेलते समय विनोद पूर्ण परिहास करती हैं , उनके कमनीय कण्ठ से जो स्वर मुखरित हो रहे हैं अर्थात वे मधुर राग - रागिनियाँ आलापती जा रही हैं | उनके अङ्ग - प्रत्यङ्ग  रस से भरे हुए हैं | वे सर्वरूपेण शोभायमान दिखाई देती हैं | 

        The friends are exchanging loving , sweet and meaningful words . While playing , the joke full of humour , the sound coming from their soft throat means that (raga and ragini's) songs are being sung by them . Every part of their body is filled with the essence of love. They look absolutely beautiful . 

11. गावती सुचंग रंग , आणती अति उमंग | 

      स्वय एक गाय संग , अलबेली अति अंग , वासनाओ सुगंध || 

      सखियाँ अत्यन्त उत्साह में आकर सुमधुर स्वरों से गीत गाती हैं | उनके कण्ठों से एक साथ एक ही स्वर में गीत निःसृत होते हैं | उनका स्वरूप अत्यन्त आकर्षक और उन्माद पूर्ण दिखाई देता है | इन ब्रह्मवासनाओं के अङ्ग - प्रत्यङ्ग से सुगन्ध फैल रही है | 

The friends sing songs with great enthusiasm in melodious voices . Songs emerge from their throats together in one voice . Their appearance looks very attractive and full of excitement ( craziness) . The fragrance is spreading from every part of these supreme souls . 

12. वल्ल्भ कंठ वलाय , लिए रंग धाय - धाय | 

       रामत करे सवाय , पाछी नव राखे कांय , ऊभी रहे रे ओकंध || 

      सखियाँ कभी तो प्रियतम श्री कृष्ण के गले लिपट कर और कभी आवेग में आकर दौड़ती हैं तथा प्रेमानन्द के रस का पान करती हैं | इस प्रकार उत्तरोंत्तर भाँति - भाँति की प्रेम क्रीड़ाएँ करती हैं | इन बातों में वे लेश मात्र भी पीछे नहीं हटती अपितु दृढ़ता पूर्वक खड़ी रहती हैं | 

       Sometimes the friends hug their beloved Shri Krishna and sometimes run impulsively and ( drink the nectar ) enjoy the happiness of love . In this way , various types of love games are carried out one after another . In these matters they do not step back even a bit but stand firm . 

13. इन्द्रावती अंगे आप , वालाजीसुं करे विख्यात | 

    मुख तो मेले संघात , अमृत पिए अघात , सुख तो लिए रे सुन्दर || 

     स्वयं इन्द्रावती प्रियतम श्री कृष्ण के साथ रामत करती हुई वार्तालाप करती है | एक दूसरे के मुख कमल का स्पर्श करते हैं |  इस प्रकार असीम प्रेमामृत का पान करती हुई सखियाँ प्रेमानन्द के सुख का अनुभव कर रही  हैं| 

     Indravati herself has a blissful conversation with beloved Shri Krishna while playing game of love . Both touch each other's faces . In this way drinking infinite nectar of love friends experiencing the happiness of love .
