1. सखी व्रषभान नंदनी , कंठ कर क्रस्ननी |
जोड एक अंगनी , रमती रंगे रास री ||
इन्द्रावती कहती है , हे सखियो ! वृषभान - नन्दिनी श्री राधा जी श्री कृष्ण के गले में बाँहें डाले एकांगी होकर रस पूर्ण रास क्रीड़ा कर रही हैं |
Indravati says , O friends ! daughter of Vrishabhan - Nandni Shri Radha ji is playing one - sided delightful game of love with her arms around the neck of Shri Krishna .
2. स्याम स्यामाजी जोड सुचंगी , जुओ सकल सुन्दरी |
सोभा मुखारविंदनी , करे मांहों मांहे हांस री ||
हे ब्रह्मप्रियाओ ! तुम सभी एकत्रित होकर ध्यान पूर्वक देखो | स्याम स्यामाजी का युगल स्वरूप कितना सुन्दर है ? जब वे दोनों परस्पर हास्य - विनोद करते हैं तो उनके मुखारविन्द की शोभा अनुपम दिखाई देती है |
O friends of Brahma ! All of you gather together and watch carefully . How beautiful is the couple form of Shyam Shayama ji ? When both of them joke with each other , the beauty of their expressions is incomparable .
3. भूषण लटके भामनी , कांई तेज करण कामनी |
संग जोड स्यामनी , वनमां करे विलास री ||
भामिनी ( श्री श्यामा जी ) के आभूषण लटक रहे हैं | उनमें से ज्योति भी निकल रही है | श्री श्यामाजी श्री कृष्ण के साथ वन में विलास कर रही हैं |
The jewellery of beautiful lady Shri Shayamaji is hanging . Light is also coming out of them . Shri Shayamaji is enjoying in the forest with Shri Krishna .
4. पांउ भरे एक भांतसुं , रमती रंगे खांतसुं |
जुओ सखी जोड कान्हसुं , कांई सुन्दरी सकला परी ||
दोनों एक साथ डग भरते हुए प्रेमपूर्वक क्रीड़ा कर रहे हैं | हे सखियों ! श्री कृष्ण और श्री श्यामाजी की जोड़ी तो देखो , यह जोड़ी कितनी सुन्दर दिखाई दे रही हैं |
Both of them are playing lovingly while striding together . O friends ! Look at the pair of Shri Krishna and Shri Shayamaji , how beautiful this pair looks .
5. फरती रमे फेरसुं , सुन्दरबाई घेरसुं |
हजार वार तेरसुं , आवी वालाजी पास री ||
एक दूसरे के साथ रामत खेलती हुई सखियाँ प्रियतम एवं सुन्दरबाई को चारों ओर से घेर लेती हैं | खेल के इस रंग में डूबकर सुन्दरबाई बारह हजार सखियों को बुलाकर प्रियतम के साथ रामत खेलने आती है |
Friends playing game of love with each other surround the beloved and Sunderbai . Immersed in the colours of game (fully involved) , Sunderbai calls twelve thousand friends and comes to play game of love with the beloved .
6. वल्लभे लीधी हाथसुं , सुन्दरबाई बाथसुं |
रामत करे निघातसुं , जोरे मूकावे हाथ री ||
प्रियतम श्री कृष्ण ने सुन्दरबाई का हाथ पकड़ कर बाँहों में भर लिया और रामत खेलने लगे | परन्तु सखियों ने बल पूर्वक छुड़ा लिया |
Beloved Shri Krishna held Sunderbai's hand , hugged her and started playing the game of love . But friends freed her by force .
7. बेहुगमां बे भामनी , वचे कान्ह कंठे कामनी |
कंठ बांहोंडी बंने स्यामनी , एम फरत प्राणनाथ री ||
दो सखियों के मध्य में श्री कृष्ण हैं , उन्होंने उन दोनों के गले में बाँह डाली हुई है | उन दोनों सखियों की भुजाएँ भी श्री कृष्ण के गले में हैं | इस प्रकार प्राणनाथ ( श्री कृष्ण जी ) रामत करते हुए घूम रहे हैं |
Shri Krishna is in the middle of two friends , he has his arms around the neck of both of them . The arms of those two friends are also around the neck of Shri Krishna . In this way , Prannath ( Shri Krishna ji ) is roaming around while playing game of love .
8. आखल पाखल सुन्दरी , केटलीक कंठे बांह धरी |
एक ठेकती फरती भमरी , एम रामत सकल साथ री ||
( श्री कृष्ण के ) चारों ओर सखियाँ हैं | उनमें - से कई सखियाँ एक दूसरे के गले में बाँहें डाले घूम रही हैं | इनमें कोई सखी छलाँग मारकर दूसरी सखी को पकड़ लेती है तो कोई गोल - गोल घूमती है | इस प्रकार सभी सखियाँ परस्पर रामत कर रही हैं |
( Shri Krishna has) friends all around . Many of them are walking around with their arms around each other's neck . In these any friend jumps and catches the other friend , while some go round and round in circles. In this way all the friends are playing the game of love with each other .
9. झणके झण झांझरी , घुंघरी घमके मांझ री |
कडलां बाजे मांहें कांबीरी , बिछुडा स्वर मिलाप री ||
नूपुर और काँबी की झनकार साथ ही साथ निकल रही है | अंगुलियों में पहनी हुई मुद्रिकाएँ भी उनके साथ अपना स्वर मिला रही हैं | सखियों के चरणों पहने हुए आभूषण झाँझरी , घुँघरी की मधुर झंकार हो रही है | बीच - बीच में कड़े और कड़ियों की घुँघरू घमक रही हैं |
The jingle sound of anklet and string are coming out simultaneously . The rings worn on fingers are also matching their voice with them . There is sweet tingling sound of jewellery like anklets and anklet bells worn at the feet of the friends . In between bangles and link bells are rustling .
10. धमके पांव धारुणी , रमती रास तारुणी |
फरती जोड फेरणी , न चढे कोणे स्वांस री ||
सखियाँ रास में मग्न हैं और उनके पाँव की धमक के कारण धरती भी गूञ्ज उठी है | सखियों की जोड़ियाँ वर्तुलाकार घूम कर नाच रही हैं तथापि किसी किकी साँस नहीं फूलती |
The friends are engrossed in the dance of love and the earth echoes with the thud of their feet . Pairs of friends are dancing in circles , yet no one is breathless .
11. चंद चाल मंद थई , जोई सनंधे थकत री |
गत मत भूली गई , देखी थयो उदास री ||
श्री कृष्ण और सखियों ( ब्रह्मात्माओं ) की इस रास लीला को देकर चन्द्रमा की गति धीमी पड़ गई मानो चन्द्रमा थक गया हो | वह अपनी गति और मति को भी भूल गया है | इस रास मण्डल की अनुपम शोभा देकर ( इस विचार से कि वह स्वयं इस रास लीला में सम्मिलित नहीं ही सका ) वह उदास हो गया है |
Seeing the dance of divine love of Shri Krishna and his friends , the moon's speed has slowed down , as if the moon has become tired. It has also forgotten his speed and mind . Seeing the unique beauty of this ground for dance of divine love , he became sad ( thinking that he himself could not participate in this dance of divine love ) .
12. आनंद घणो इन्द्रावती , बांहोंडी कंठ मिलावती |
लटकती चाले आवती , वालाजी जोडे जास री ||
इन्द्रावती आनन्द से आत्म - विभोर हो गई है | परस्पर गले में बाँहें डालकर मटकती हुई प्रियतम के पास पहुँच जाती है |
Indravati is over - whelmed with joy . While walking with a swag, wraps her arms around neck reaches to her beloved .
